If you are facing any major goal in your life, one of the first things that you need to believe about that goal is that you are actually capable of achieving success in that area. I am not going to jump off of the roof of my house because I don't believe that it is possible for me to fly. We don't attempt things that aren't possible in our minds. I am not one of those wacky types who believe that anything is possible as long as you believe it. That is simply not rational. However, many things are possible that people believe are impossible. You can get in shape. I know that because people that were in even worse shape than you have done it. You can do it too. Watch this video for a little motivation.

2 important ""M's"
You must be motivated and have momentum in order to succeed with weight loss. Motivation gives you momentum. Momentum gives you more motivation. You have to start with motivation first, though. What motivates you to lose weight? I will try to make this web site a motivational tool. My plan is to include a daily motivation tool.
I have been successful with weight loss in the past. Specifically, in 2007 between January and March I lost just under 30 pounds and I kept about 20-25 lbs of that off successfully for most of the year until I went through a job transition and a family emergency in the last few months that really threw me for a loop. My weight went back up to within 8 pounds of my beginning weight last year. My goal is to try to get myself back on track again. The biggest thing for me is staying motivated. I will post some before pictures tomorrow or the next day.
